Mexico’s illegal immigration policy is modified to let the illegal children through to the land of the gringo!

Mexican president Calderon bashes America and then is rewarded with billions in foreign aid?

And what is Mexico’s illegal policy toward Americans? American visitors to Mexico who do not provide the proper identification are treated as illegals, and illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years’ imprisonment. If you are unlucky enough to be caught as an illegal a second time it’s 10 years? Yes, the Mexicans will take your money, but you are not welcome.

The Mexican government will bar foreigners from entering the country if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.” How’s that for racial and ethnic profiling?

If outsiders do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy,” they are not allowed to stay.

Those people seeking Mexican citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam and prove they can provide their own health care.
Document fraud is subject to fine and imprisonment; so is alien marriage fraud.
Evading deportation is a serious crime; illegal re-entry after deportation is punishable by ten years’ imprisonment.

Mexico’s law enforcement officials at all levels are mandated to cooperate to enforce these immigration laws, including illegal alien arrests and deportations. This mandate includes the Mexican military! Oh, but that’s not all! Native-born Mexicans are empowered and encouraged to make citizens’ arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to the authorities.

The Mexican government maintains a National Population Registry to help the officials track and verify the identity of every member of their population, and all Mexicans must carry a Mexican citizens’ identity card. Non-Mexican visitors who do not possess proper documents and identification are subject to arrest as illegal aliens (see above).

A plethora of Mexican statutes enshrined in Mexico’s Ley General de Población (General Law of the Population) severely limit the participation of foreign nationals and foreign companies in everything from investment, education, mining and civil aviation to electric energy and firearms. Foreigners have severely limited private property and employment rights (if any). For example, if you are a gringo with money and want to buy a piece of Mexican land, then be advised you can lease it, but you can never own it.

Logically,  the Ley General de Población  specifically states that Non-Mexicans cannot “in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.”

Now compare this with the protesters rally held today in front of the White House. Who was there? The protest rally was repeat with illegals and union representatives – workers of the world unite?

Do not be surprised. The Mexican governments consular offices in the United States have coordinated with statist social justice groups and the Catholic Church leadership once satisfied with demanding a moratorium on all deportations and a freeze on all employment raids across the US are now, with the help of the union management and power, clamoring for open borders.

And one more thing; the Mexican government is not all bad! They grant waivers to those illegals “just passing through” on their way to the land of the gringo. However, if you overstay you waiver you may go to prison.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Support Banning Plastic Grocery Bags?

If You Support Banning Plastic Grocery Bags, Here are 6 Reasons Why You Might Reconsider

By Michael Hausam (with parenthetical additions by BloggingForLiberty)

Across the country, 190 municipalities either tax plastic grocery bags or have banned them altogether.

Plastic Bags 2014

In California, Los Angeles County banned them beginning January 1st of this year, and the California state legislature is currently entertaining a bill that would ban them statewide (if California is doing anything, then you should always do the opposite).

In most places, paper bags can be purchased at the checkout in case one has forgotten to bring their own bag.

The justification for the bans have been the negative economic and environmental effects of plastic bags. In other words, forcing people to bring their own bags saves money for municipalities and helps save the planet (when government uses force it is called tyranny).

Ban supporters tend to be passionate about its positive effects, to the point that even Portlandia did a sketch mocking them:

But as it turns out, plastic bag bans are a lot more symbolism than substance, and a recent study  show us the reasons why:

  1. Banning plastic bags doesn’t actually save money  for garbage collection.
  2. They comprise about 1.4% of the municipal waste  in the United States.
  3. Plastic bags do not harm sea life any more than other forms of improperly disposed waste.
  4. Manufacturing of plastic bags requires far less energy, water, and emits fewer greenhouse gases (a pejorative phrase used by statists for the uneducated) than do paper  or in some cases , reusable bags -as Greenbiz explained “In Defense of the Plastic Bag.”
  5. Reusable bags have significant health risks due to unhygienic bacteria conditions  and the fact that few people disinfect them properly (this should be THE number one reason, as all others, although also valid, are inconsequential in comparison).
  6. The poor often bear a greater financial burden, since charges for more expensive  reusable or paper bags cannot be used for other purchases (in other words worry, you will be poor soon as the statists will take your money and redistribute it — taking just a little bit off the top for themselves (e.g., Obama is now worth over 20 million).

As good as it might feel to ban plastic bags, the facts show that it might be time to ban the bans. What do you think?  (At least one of these statist journalists gets it! Now, pray he can see who is promoting this sophistry and stop supporting them).

Thomas Sowell defends Matt Drudge in face of Geraldo’s barbs

By one of my favorite thinkers, Dr. Thomas Sowell. All remarks in blue font are added by BloggingForLiberty.

Sowell Thomas 2014

Some have said that we are living in a post-industrial era, while others have said that we are living in a post-racial era (and we are absolutely living in a post-Constitutional era). But growing evidence suggests that we are living in a post-thinking era

Many people in Europe and the Western Hemisphere are staging angry protests against Israel’s military action in Gaza (most of whom are Muslim immigrants who are outbreeding the original native populations – ask the American Indians how that worked out for them. Hint: The French city of Marseille has an estimated 30 to 40 percent Muslim population and has been ranked as the most dangerous city in Europe). One of the talking points against Israel is that far more Palestinian civilians have been killed by Israeli military attacks than the number of Israeli civilians killed by the Hamas rocket attacks on Israel that started this latest military conflict.

Are these protesters aware that vastly more German civilians were killed by American bombers attacking Nazi Germany during World War II than American civilians killed in the United States by Hitler’s forces? (Answer: No. These people are products of the statist run media and are useful idiots, low-information voters, or as we say in Texas, ignorant–pronounced ig-nert).

Talk-show host Geraldo Rivera says that there is no way Israel is winning the battle for world opinion. But Israel is trying to win the battle for survival, while surrounded by enemies. Might that not be more important? Besides, the Hamassholes are purposely trying to provoke the IDF into killing their own civilians and especially their children (not the Hamas leaders children, oh no, just the rank and file Gaza children)!

Has any other country, in any other war, been expected to keep the enemy’s civilian casualties no higher than its own civilian casualties? The idea that Israel should do so did not originate among the masses but among the educated intelligentsia (Stalin would call them useful idiots).

In an age when scientists are creating artificial intelligence, too many of our educational institutions (run by statists) seem to be creating artificial stupidity.

It is much the same story in our domestic controversies. We have gotten so intimidated by political correctness that our major media outlets dare not call people who immigrate to this country illegally “illegal immigrants.”

Geraldo Rivera has denounced the Drudge Report for carrying news stories that show some of the negative consequences and dangers from allowing vast numbers of youngsters (from countries where “public health” is little more than an English phrase used by Gringos)  to enter the country illegally and be spread across the country by the Obama administration. But if you think these “illegals” are just children and adolescents you would be “ig-nert.” Since April of this year alone more than 300,000 illegals entered though the southern border alone, and only 53 thousand were under the age of 18. Three-hundred thousand is twice as many people as invaded Europe during D-Day!

Some of these youngsters are already known to be carrying lice and suffering from disease. Since there have been no thorough medical examinations of most of them, we have no way of knowing whether, or how many, are carrying deadly diseases that will spread to American children when these unexamined young immigrants enter schools across the country. Now just stop and think about that for a minute. The Obamanation is importing potentially disease-carrying children into schools all across America. Take TB as an example, where each victim of TB infects an average of 10 to 15 others every year – typically through sneezing or coughing. So, one unscreened illegal kid has the potential of infecting 10 to 15 or more American kids! I can understand populations that have political causes to protect their children (from say rocket attacks), but the Obamanation (like the Hamassholes) are purposely putting their own children at risk to protect their political causes!

The attack against Matt Drudge has been in the classic tradition of demagogues. It turns questions of fact into questions of motive. Geraldo accuses Drudge of trying to start a “civil war.”

Back when masses of immigrants from Europe were entering this country, those with dangerous diseases (like TB) were turned back from Ellis Island. Nobody thought they had a legal or a moral “right” to be in America or that it was mean or racist not to want our children to catch their diseases (not just disease that leads to discomfort, but also disease that leads to death).

Even on the less contentious issue of minimum wage laws, there are the same unthinking reactions.

Although liberals are usually gung ho for increasing the minimum wage, there was a sympathetic front-page story in the July 29 San Francisco Chronicle about the plight of a local nonprofit organization that will not be able to serve as many low-income minority youths if it has to pay a higher minimum wage. They are seeking some kind of exemption.

Does it not occur to these people that the very same thing happens when a minimum wage increase applies to profit-based employers? They, too, tend to hire fewer inexperienced young people when there is a minimum wage law.

This is not breaking news. This is what has been happening for generations in the United States and in other countries around the world. For example, Norwalk Mental Hospital, located in a suburb of L.A., developed a program where as part of their therapy, the inpatients were taught how to grow their own food. You see, Norwalk hospital was located on a huge tract of land that used to be a farm, so an inventive therapist developed a gardening program for the patients. Not only was there noticeable psychological benefit from tilling the soil, there was the unpredicted dramatic, physical benefit from the abundance of fresh food available to the patients as well. These inpatient-farmers would supplement their diets with the food they grew, and as a result the general health of the hospital’s population increased measurably! So what’s wrong with this? Well, when the liberals at the ACLU found out about the program the ACLU lawyers sued demanding the patients be given a minimum wage for their labor in addition to the products of their farming, a cost the hospital could not bear. So what happened? Overnight the farming program was stopped and the physical and mental health of the patients returned to baseline.

One of the few countries without a minimum wage law is Switzerland, where the unemployment rate has been consistently less than 4 percent for years. Back in 2003, The Economist magazine reported that “Switzerland’s unemployment neared a five-year high of 3.9 percent in February.” The most recent issue shows the Swiss unemployment rate back to a more normal 3.2 percent.

Does anyone think that having minimum wage laws and high youth unemployment is better? In fact, does anyone think at all these days?

Isolation? We don’t need no stinking isolation! A follow up.

Not satisfied with bringing just two people stricken with Ebola directly from Africa, the Obamanation has invited 51 delegations of  African countries -many of which are involved in the Ebola epidemic – to a high-level event hosted by President Obama.

Many downtown Washington D.C. hotels are jammed full of dignitaries from Ebola plagued African nations. Now, what harm could a thing like that do? Let’s see. Presidents, Secretaries of state, Bureaucrats and supporting staffs, and of course family members, many from areas of epidemic Ebola (with an asymptomatic but infectious period of 2 to 21 days). Nope, I see no cause for alarm, do you? ObamasAfricanSummitin DC2014 “During the August 4-6 Summit President Obama will be welcoming leaders from across the African continent to this nation’s capital for a three-day U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, the first such event of its kind.

The three-day summit will focus on issues including democracy building and (I am not kidding) public health! This Summit is the largest event any U.S. President has held with African heads of state (ever).” And the first African-American President will likely also be the first American President of any ethnic persuasion to orchestrate an Ebola outbreak in the new world!

Isolation? We don’t need no stinking isolation!

ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) 8/4/14 — “The doctor who treated a man who flew to Nigeria and soon died of Ebola now has contracted the disease, authorities said Monday, presenting a dire challenge to Africa’s most populous nation as the regional toll for the outbreak grew to 887 dead.”  And what did the Obamanation do? “A special (US government) plane left Liberia to evacuate the second American missionary who fell ill with Ebola. Nancy Writebol, 59, is expected to arrive in Atlanta on Tuesday, where she will be treated at a special isolation ward.” Compassion to the victim or attempted murder of the public?

Has anyone seen the movie “Outbreak”? Well, the military/CDC has special MASH-like units to take proper care of these types of infections “on location.” The goal is state-of-the-art treatment AND isolation from other population centers; you know, population centers like say Atlanta.

“The second confirmed case in Nigeria is a doctor who treated Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American man who died July 25 days after arriving in Nigeria from Liberia, said Nigerian Health Minister Onyebuchi Chukwu.” “Three others who also treated Sawyer now show symptoms of Ebola and their test results are pending, he said. Authorities are trying to trace and “quarantine” others in Lagos, sub-Saharan Africa’s largest city of 21 million people.”

Now read this: “This cluster of cases in Lagos, Nigeria is very concerning,” said Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Controls and Prevention, which is dispatching 50 experienced disease control specialists to West Africa.”

” ‘It shows what happens if meticulous infection control, contact tracing, and proper isolation of patients with suspected Ebola is not done. Stopping the spread in Lagos will be difficult but it can be done,’ he said.” So, let’s fly a couple of infected people over here?

“Contact tracing is essential but it’s very hard to get enough people to do that,” “For the average case, you want to look back and catch the 20 to 30 people they had closest contact with and that takes a lot of effort and legwork … The most important thing now is to do the contact tracing and quarantine any contacts who may be symptomatic.”

I guess it is expected of these statists to be ignorant of the past, but someone should remind these naive people that with the so called Columbian Exchange, Native Americans died by the millions (some estimates report that over 80% of the American natives died from this European disease exchange).

For example, look at Cortes’ invasion of Mexico. Before his arrival, the native Mexican population was estimated to have been around 25-30 million. Only fifty years after his arrival, the Mexican population was cut down to 3 million, attributable mainly to infectious disease inadvertently brought by the Conquistadors. These European diseases brought destruction through repeated epidemics, involving illness and extensive death. Why? Because the natives lacked prior contact with Europeans, and so they had no previous exposure to the diseases that were prevalent on the distant continent. Apparently, to these statists, Africa is not a distant continent.

The African country of Sierra Leone marked a national stay-at-home day Monday in an effort to halt the disease’s spread. The country run by an African statist responded with a national bring-them-home day!

“I guess if you can’t tax’em and regulate’em to death or invade them fast enough, then just infect them?”

Seriously, these people are killing your country at breakneck speed, but apparently not fast enough…so, how about 30 days?

So, you want to build your own temperature recording station do you?

The Rules

To qualify as a properly maintained temperature station, accurate temperature sensors must be placed in an elevated, slatted box on relatively flat ground surrounded by a clear surface on a slope below 19 degrees. Surrounding grass and low vegetation ground cover must be less than 10 centimeters high. Temperature sensors must be located at least 100 meters from artificial heating or reflecting surfaces, such as buildings, concrete surfaces, and parking lots.
The sensors must also be far from large bodies of water, unless it is representative of the area, and even then located at least 100 meters away. No shading of the temperature sensors should occur when the sun elevation is greater than 3 degrees.
Meeting the above specifications is important to ensure no artificial heating or cooling signal is reported in the data. For example, if a parking lot is built adjacent to a temperature sensor, the asphalt and running engines of automobiles will provide an artificial heat source that would skew the temperature data to report a warming that does not in fact exist.

Temperature Station Quality

In 1997, a study by the U.S. National Research Council concluded the consistency and quality of temperature stations in the United States was “inadequate and deteriorating” and the U.S. Historical Climatological Network (USHCN), the organization charged with maintaining the temperature stations, was doing little to address temperature station inadequacies.

As of 2010, the USHCN maintains all of the 1,221 official weather stations.  Using a scale from 1 to 5, stations that are properly maintained receive a rating of 1 and stations that are severely compromised by artificial temperature signatures (being located adjacent to an artificial heating source, such as a building, rooftop, parking lot, or concrete surface, for example) receive a 5. Of these stations, far more stations fail to meet the standards than do. In fact, approximately 70 percent of the 1,221 official temperature stations receive a 4 or 5 rating, and only 4 percent receive a rating of 1. That’s right, only 4%!

Let’s look at an example, and the station at Monterey, CA is a perfect example!

Temperature sensor rules one by one:

a) The sensor should be mounted 5  feet +/- 1 foot above the ground.  Violation!

b) The ground over which the shelter is located should be typical of the surrounding area. Violation!

c) A level, open clearing is desirable so the thermometers are freely ventilated by air flow. Do not install the sensor on a steep slope or in a sheltered hollow unless it is typical of the area or unless data from that type of site are desired. Pass!

d) When possible, the shelter should be no closer than four times the height of any obstruction (tree, fence, building, etc.). Violation!

e) The sensor should be at least 100 feet from any paved or concrete surface. Violation!

Remember, the temperature recording station above is not an anomaly, it is the norm (approximately 70% are rated 4 to 5 out of 5)!

Climategate American Style: The mystery of the vanishing weather stations

For those who haven’t seen it, I suggest you visit (right now) US weatherman John Coleman’s site and see for yourself the great statist scam on America, AGW.

In part 4 of his report,  Mr. Coleman shows how temperature readings have been purposely manipulated by both the NASA Goddard Science and Space Institute at Columbia University in New York and the NOAA National Climate Data Center in Ashville, North Carolina.

Nope. It would be wrong to assume that the liars at Climatic Research Unit (CRU) in Britain, whose  temperature data records have been grotesquely distorted to exaggerate the appearance of late 20th century global warming, outperform our American government liars.  You see the Brits at the CRU ignoed most of the weather station sited in higher, colder places and instead used the readings from the warmer locations. Then, the liars at the CRU averaged out the temperature readings from by the warmer stations to give the scary “climate change” they needed to show that this hoax was real!

Not to be outdone, the prevaricators at NASA and NOAA took their temperature data from 6,000 weather stations around the world, dropped that number to 1500, and added a clear bias against those at higher latitudes and elevations (the stations with the cooler temperatures).

What this data demonstrates is that not only the British temperature records but also those in the US have been adulterated by political activists.

For an excellent site devoted to uncovering the details of  the AGW scam please visit the site below:

Wow! Looks like the weather is variable!

This is a picture of a weather station in California that has been measuring and recording the temperature for over 100 years.

The graph in the right corner of the picture shows the variation in temperature during that time. Unless one is unable to read a graph, then it is obvious that at this station the weather constantly changes. What a shock!

The next thing you know these pseudo-scientists are going to tell us that carbon dioxide is a pollutant. I thought they liked trees?

Not all temperature readings are accurate (even in America).

Could station accuracy temperature readings?

Climate Reference Network Rating Guide – adopted from NCDC Climate Reference Network Handbook, 2002, specifications for siting (section 2.2.1) of NOAA’s new Climate Reference Network:

Class 1 (CRN1)- Flat and horizontal ground surrounded by a clear surface with a slope below 1/3 (<19deg). Grass/low vegetation ground cover <10 centimeters high. Sensors located at least 100 meters from artificial heating or reflecting surfaces, such as buildings, concrete surfaces, and parking lots. Far from large bodies of water, except if it is representative of the area, and then located at least 100 meters away. No shading when the sun elevation >3 degrees.

Class 2 (CRN2) – Same as Class 1 with the following differences. Surrounding Vegetation <25 centimeters. No artificial heating sources within 30m. No shading for a sun elevation >5deg.

Class 3 (CRN3) (error >=1C) – Same as Class 2, except no artificial heating sources within 10 meters.

Class 4 (CRN4) (error >= 2C) – Artificial heating sources <10 meters.

Class 5 (CRN5) (error >= 5C) – Temperature sensor located next to/above an artificial heating source, such a building, roof top, parking lot, or concrete surface.”
