Statist want the government to control everything, and taking over possession of your body is a very good start don’t you think? That’s exactly what the Obama Care plan is going to do. Yep, take the best health care plan the world has ever known and give it to the same people who run the Post Office. Now that’s thinking!

The statists think it entirely natural for the central government to decide what 307 million citizens ought to be spending on something as basic to individual liberty as their own bodies.

Do not be fooled. This “Health care crisis” in the mind of the public is being used by the statists to get votes and thereby usurp power, and they care not a hoot about care. Remember, by any measure the U.S. heath care system is THE best in the history of the world (unless of course a statist organization like the World Health Organization is doing the measuring).

There is already a superb system of care for the indigent, and it is called the “County Hospital System.” Every state has one, and I used to be responsible for 1/12 of the state of Louisiana’s mental health care; so I do know a little about the “public sector.” Nothing is ever said about this system, but it exists and does a very good job, inefficiently, but still a good job. If people fall through the cracks, then it is by choice.

Show me where there are citizens in this country who can’t get care. For that matter, show me a non-citizen who can’t get care!

Freedom is messy, but a free system of capitalism, unencumbered by statist regulation, is THE most efficient way to provide goods and services bar none.  Make no mistake about it, in free societies, people will fall through the cracks – drink too much, eat too much, buy homes they cannot afford, fail to make prudent provision for health care, and much else. But the price of being relieved of all those tiresome choices by a statist-driven, paternal government is far too high, and far too inefficient.

Government health care, like any statist system, would be less efficient to say the least, but  it  would still be wrong even if it “controlled costs” (but it won’t).  Most importantly, it’s a liberty issue. I’d rather be free to choose, even if I make the wrong choices.

Don’t believe the hype, guard your freedom, and vote for people that will let you keep it.
