Global Warning, Mount Pinatubo, Glaciers, The Lost Squadron, and Gore 2010

Sulpher dioxide injected into the stratosphere by Mount Pinatubo on the island of Luzon, erupted catastrophically in June 1991 after 460 years of inactivity, caused a 0.5 degree drop in global temperature for over a year.

Michael Crichton’s book “State of Fear”? It raises all the un-PC questions about global warming, no wonder it never made the best seller list. He says that the fear of global warming is being used as a political tool of control.

Himalayan glaciers have been retreating since 1780 — some 70 years before the onset of the current post-Little Ice Age warming trend (that warning trend was over in 1998) and 100 years before the onset of significant global industrialization. Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world’s glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035. However, the claim was recently downgraded to “speculation” and was not supported by any formal research.  In fact, in 2004 and 2005, the retreat slowed to about 12 meters a year, and since September 2007 Gangotri has been “practically at a standstill,” according to the Geological Survey of India.

During the 20th century, for example, while man-made carbon dioxide emissions steadily increased from about 1940 to 1975, global temperatures cooled. Oh, why that can’t be! Well, consider this little factoid:

On July 15, 1942, six P-38 fighters and two B-17 Bombers being flown to Europe about seven months after the United States entered World War II landed on a glacier in Greenland due to bad weather. The flight leader decided the best thing to do was have the entire flight land together before they ran out of fuel.

The crews were rescued within a few days, but the airplanes were left where they stopped and over the years they were covered by ice.  The planes were buried under a layer of ice 268 feet thick- a net gain in snow of approximately 5.4 feet per year since the planes landed. Fifty years and one month after the planes landed, one of the planes was removed from the glacier (1992). It took the better part of a month just to dig the hole in the snow!

Yes, all you AGW believers need to know that Al Gore (currently worth over an estimated $100 million) is getting rich while you are being duped!

Al Gore uses more electricity in his mansion a week than 28 million Ugandans together use in a year!

Al’s jet!

Al’s Nobel Prize!

 Bottom Line:

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
